Welcome! We are thrilled, honoured, and altogether humbled to be the co-chairs for C2U Expo – For the Common Good. We look forward to hosting you in Vancouver, the traditional territory of the Coast Salish People--the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh. The 2017 version of this international celebration of community campus partnerships will build on the great success of previous Expos and will foster a fun and dynamic environment for authentic and deep discussions about the current state and future of campus community partnerships.
C2UExpo 2017 is designed to explore, share, and celebrate the edges and contested territories of community campus partnerships as catalysts for social innovation and transformation that supports (and interrogates) a broadly defined notion of the common good.
As conference co-chairs, we know that in the context of authentic campus community partnerships, process is just as important as outcome. Like all other past Expos, C2UExpo is being co-planned with community members-- from the development of the program to the post-conference evaluation.
In 2017 we will be adding one important element to this dynamic: C2U Expo 2017 will be co-produced by members of the community as conference planners, witnesses, logistics specialists, facilitators, and participants. In this way the conference has been designed to ensure that individual and community capacity building is a tangible legacy of our time together.
In short, we are very much looking forward to hosting you at C2U Expo – For the Common Good. Please stay connected to the website in the coming months as we make announcements about the pre-conference and main program and other details about the conference.

It is a privilege for Simon Fraser University to host C2UExpo 2017 – For the Common Good, and I invite you to join us in Metro Vancouver for what will be an amazing and innovative conference experience.
The core values of the C2U Expo movement align closely with SFU’s strategic vision to be an ‘engaged university’ defined by its dynamic integration of innovative teaching, cutting edge research and far reaching community engagement.
C2U Expo 2017 – For the Common Good will provide delegates with extensive and diverse opportunities to share their knowledge and experience with community-campus partnerships, to discuss strategies and methods for developing community-campus relationships, and to explore the potential for forging deeper engagements and effecting transformative change. You will also have a chance to participate in stimulating social events designed to link conference themes to an authentic west coast experience.
C2U Expo 2017 will build on the success of the six previous CUExpos, and will welcome delegates from across Canada and around the world.
